Together with breakdancer Redo and percussionist Dominique Vleeshouwers I’ve been doing some ongoing research and development that started in 2020 for Nederlandse Dansdagen. In 2021 we have developed this work further resulting in a 25 minute performance where the boundaries between musician and dancer are continually blurred, and where the beautiful exhaustion that comes with the virtuoso style of Redo’s dance form leads to a subtle and, hopefully, touching result.
